Add the app to your phone
You can keep the app on your Home Screen and open it like any other. There is nothing to download from an app store. It also lets you get a notification when a master is ready, and keep a show pack on your phone for a venue with no signal.
What you need
- An iPhone with Safari, or an Android phone with Chrome
- The email address on your account, because the app signs you in with a code
Jump to a step
1. Add it to your Home Screen
On an iPhone: open the app in Safari. Tap the Page Menu, then Share, then Add to Home Screen. Turn on Open as Web App and tap Add. Safari’s controls can look a little different from one version to the next.
On an Android phone: open the app in Chrome. If Chrome offers it, press Add to Home Screen. If not, open Chrome’s ⋮ menu and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
2. Open it and sign in
Open the app from your Home Screen, not from the browser. Sign in with the code we email you. The Home Screen app keeps its own sign-in, so you do this once even if you are already signed in in Safari.
3. Turn on notifications, if you want them
Open Account, then Notifications, and turn them on. Your phone asks for permission first. On an iPhone this works only from the Home Screen app, not from Safari.
Choose what you want to hear about: Master ready, Batch finished, Release day and Tasks due. App icon badge shows the number of release tasks due on the Home Screen icon. Press Send a test to check that one arrives.
If your phone says notifications are blocked, allow them for the app in your phone’s settings. Notifications show song and release names on your lock screen. To hide those, turn off previews in the same settings.
4. Keep a show pack for when there is no signal
With Live Show Plus or Unlimited, open a frozen show pack and press Save for offline while you have signal. The pack then opens on this phone without one. Saved show packs lists what is kept here.
Using a shared phone? Sign out when you finish. The app tries to remove your saved copies and this phone’s notifications as you sign out, and tells you if it could not remove the saved copies. If notifications still arrive afterwards, turn them off for the app in the phone’s settings. Stuck? See Fix a master that failed for master problems, or contact us below.
