Read and share your delivery report

Every finished master has a delivery report: one sheet with your mix’s and the master’s measurements, the loudness target and whether it was met, and the facts of each file. Use it as your own record, or send it to a distributor, label or plant.

What you need

  • A finished master in your account. See Master a track.

  • For checksums, printing and the private link, a master you own: buy that master or use Unlimited. See Download your master. On a free account you can still read the report on screen.

Jump to a step
  1. 01Open the report
  2. 02Read it
  3. 03Print it or save a PDF
  4. 04Send a private link
  5. 05Check that a file is unchanged

1. Open the report

On the master’s job page, under Delivery, find the Delivery report card and press Open report.

To get back to the job page later, press Songs & masters in the sidebar (Songs in the bar at the bottom of a phone), choose the song, and press Attempt and its number under Mixes and masters.

2. Read it

  • The top line says whether the master met its target: Target met or Delivered below target, with the figures. Below target is not a failure. It means your mix could not reach that loudness without going over the peak ceiling, so the master stops at the loudest level it could reach under the ceiling.
  • Measurements puts Your mix and the Master side by side, with the Change between them.
  • Files lists each file with its format, its true peak and, on a master you own, its SHA-256 checksum.
  • Your mix, checked repeats the mix check on the file you uploaded. Anything to fix is listed under Flagged in the mix, and anything else to look at under Worth knowing.

The report states measurements and file facts. It is not an approval by any distributor, label or plant.

3. Print it or save a PDF

On a master you own, choose your Paper size, Letter or A4, and press Print or save as PDF. The report fits on one page, with every checksum whole.

4. Send a private link

On a master you own, press Share a private link, then Copy link, and send it to whoever needs it. They do not need an account. They see this report, read live, with the checksums and no audio.

Each master has one link at a time. Make a new link replaces it, and the old link stops working. Turn off ends it.

If your Unlimited plan ends, a link you already sent keeps working, and you can still turn it off from the report. You can’t make a new link for a master you didn’t buy until a plan covers it again.

A refund does not always touch a link. If you still have an unspent per-track credit, the refund takes that credit and your links stay as they are. If you don’t, one master you bought goes back behind the paywall and its link is turned off, unless a plan still covers it. That may be a different master from the one you had in mind, so open your reports and check their links after a refund.

5. Check that a file is unchanged

Under Check the files, the report lists a command for macOS, Windows and Linux. Or use Check a file and choose the file: the page says whether it matches a file in the report. The file is read in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

A file stops matching when it is edited, re-encoded or re-tagged. A very large file may not open on a phone; the commands work for a file of any size.

Next: Download your master for the files themselves. To read a mix before you master it, see Check your mix before mastering.
